Once you’ve set up your Business Center and successfully verified it, you gain the ability to manage your ad accounts as a Business Center admin. TikTok Business Center offers three convenient ways to centralize your ad account management: creating a new ad account, requesting access to an existing ad account, or transferring ownership of an ad account to your Business Center.
Centralize and Organize Your Ad Accounts
Within the Business Center, you can easily filter your ad accounts based on ownership and status under the “Advertiser account” section. You can categorize them by:
- Ownership: Owned by this Business Center or owned by a partner.
- Account Status: Approved, Disapproved, In review, Suspended, Contract has not taken effect, or Disabled.
Make ad account management a breeze with this powerful organizational tool.
Create New Ad Accounts
Creating ad accounts within a verified Business Center is simple and efficient. It’s ideal for different purposes, such as dedicating a single ad account to each brand or line of business you promote. Once created, your ad account will be owned by your Business Center. To create an ad account in Business Center:
- Go to the “Advertiser accounts” section and click on “Add Advertiser Account.”
- Select “Create New” and proceed to the next step.
- Fill in the necessary business information and click “Submit.” Please ensure that the business name is an exact match. For example, if you’re a local branch, use the local name instead of the headquarters’ name.
- If you’re promoting your own business, you’ll be prompted to provide basic information such as the account name, timezone, and billing details.
- As an agency promoting a client’s business, you can enter your client’s company name, choose from a dropdown list of matching names and addresses, and get started.
Launching in July: Agencies can streamline the process by reusing their clients’ Business Certificate for multiple ad accounts. After the initial approval, agencies can simply select the verified certificate for future ad accounts.
Request Access to Ad Accounts
If you need to manage an ad account on behalf of someone else or work on an ad account owned by another business, you can request access to that specific ad account. Upon approval, you’ll have the authority to assign someone from your Business Center with the appropriate permissions. To request access to an ad account:
- In the “Advertiser accounts” section, click on “Add Advertiser Account.”
- Choose “Request Access” and proceed to the next step.
- Paste the Account ID and select the access permission you need (admin, operator, or analyst). You can also send an email notification to the ad account owner for approval.
- After sending the request:
- If the ad account is created by a Business Center, ask one of the ad account admins to accept the request in TikTok Ads Manager.
- If the ad account is created by an individual user and not associated with any Business Center, request acceptance from the ad account creator.
You can find the request in TikTok Ads Manager’s Notifications under “Business Center.” If you no longer need to manage a specific ad account, you can easily remove it from your Business Center.
Transfer Ad Accounts
Transferring an ad account to your Business Center allows you to manage its access permissions and billing seamlessly. Once transferred, the ad account becomes the property of your Business Center, and all management activities are conducted within the Business Center.
Please note:
- You can only transfer ad accounts that are not currently owned by any other Business Center.
- Once the transfer is complete, it cannot be reversed.
To transfer an ad account:
- Visit the “Advertiser accounts” section and click on “Add Advertiser Account.”
- Select “Transfer” and proceed to the next step.
- Paste the Account ID you wish to transfer and click “Next.”
- You can also send an email notification to the ad account owner for approval.
- Ask the account admin to accept the request in TikTok Ads Manager.
- If you’re the ad account owner, the request will be automatically approved.
We recommend transferring only ad accounts that are owned and used by your business. If you’re working on ad accounts for other businesses (e.g., client accounts), requesting access is a more suitable option.
Close Ad Accounts
To keep your Business Center organized and clutter-free, you have the option to close ad accounts that are no longer in use. To close an ad account within your Business Center, the following criteria must be met:
- The ad account must be owned by your Business Center.
- The ad account must be in an approved status.
- There should be no overdue bills associated with the ad account.
- There should be no active campaigns running for at least 72 hours.
When you close an ad account, any remaining balance will be transferred to your Business Center. To close an ad account:
- Go to the “Advertiser accounts” section and select the ad account you want to close.
- Locate and click on the “Close” icon in the top right corner.
- Confirm your decision by clicking “Confirm” in the pop-up window.
The ad account will be closed and hidden from the list. However, you can still find it by filtering the ad accounts based on disapproved account status.
Remove Ad Accounts
Sometimes, it becomes necessary to remove your ad account from a TikTok Business Center account. For instance, when you’ve concluded your collaboration with an agency or vendor, you may need to disconnect your ad account from their TikTok Business Center account.
Requirements to remove an ad account:
- You must be the owner of the ad account. Only the owner can change the relationship between an ad account and another TikTok Business Center account.
To remove your ad account from a TikTok Business Center account:
- Log in to TikTok Ads Manager as the owner of the ad account.
- Click on the user profile circle in the top right corner, and select “Account Info” under “Account Settings.”
- Scroll down to the bottom of the “Basic Information” page and find the “Permission Management” module.
- Choose the TikTok Business Center from which you want to remove your ad account and click the “Remove Permission” button on the right side.
- Confirm your decision by clicking the “Confirm” button in the dialogue box.
Remember, the control lies in your hands. You have the power to remove your ad account from any TikTok Business Center account you wish.
