How To Remove Frame from Facebook Profile Picture?
Adding frames to your Facebook profile picture is a wonderful way to show support for various causes or events. However, when the need arises, you may have to remove the frame or switch to a new one. Removing a frame from your Facebook profile picture is not as straightforward as adding one. In this article, we will explore different methods to remove a frame from your profile picture.
Getting Rid of Facebook Frames
Your profile picture is public and says a lot about you. Adding frames to your profile photo not only demonstrates your support for brands, causes, or events, but also adds a splash of color to your profile. However, you’ll need to remove a frame when an event or cause is over. Let’s take a look at the different ways you can do that.
Method #1: Swap Your Profile Photo With a New Frameless Image
Switching to a new frameless picture is a simple process. However, please note that you will lose all the likes and comments underneath your current profile picture. Follow these steps to change your framed profile picture to a new one on Facebook.

- Tap on your profile picture in the top left corner to reach your profile.

Facebook automatically saves your profile photos in the “Profile pictures” album. You can choose a frameless image from this album to replace the framed profile picture.
On the Facebook Mobile App
- Open the Facebook app on your smartphone.
- Tap on your profile picture in the top left corner.
- Tap on your profile photo.
- Choose “Select profile picture.”
- Scroll down to “Profile pictures.”

- Click “Save.”
On the Facebook Browser Version
- Navigate to Facebook on your favorite web browser.
- Click on your username in the top left corner.
- Click the camera icon on your profile picture.
- Scroll down to the “Profile pictures” album.
